37 weeks!!!

Holy moly I'm due in less than 3 weeks. 19 days to be exact! I can't believe it! A lot has happened since my last update:

Monday Feb 28th was my "36 week" check up, even though I wasn't that far until Friday. Adam was leaving for California the next morning at 5:00 am. When I got there, they put me in the "procedural room" because there were no other rooms available. The nurse took my BP and it was 148/92. That's concerning! So they went on to discuss options with me and hoping my BP would lower during the visit. It didn't! I was ordered to do the 24 hour urine test and also had blood drawn so tests could be taken to see if I had preeclampsia. IF I had preeclampsia, chances are I would've been induced on Friday March 4th which would've been 36 weeks (the earliest they can deliver up here!). But you see, Adam was supposed to leave March 1st!!!

We went out to eat that night after the doctor's appointment and then just waited and waited and waited for the phone call to tell me whether or not I was progressing towards preeclampsia. The on-call doc finally called around 8:30 pm... my tests were good, no preeclampsia!!!!! So of course, Adam was insanely relieved!!!!!! He packed in a fury and got everything ready just in time. I spent the rest of that week not working as many hours and definitely taking it easy. I didn't want to do anything that would put me on bed rest! I had another appointment on Thursday to just see how I was doing and check my BP. It was 116/74!!! (At all my previous appointments, it was like 90/70 something or 100/80. Something like that.

Fast forward a week to my 37 week check up. BP was 158/98 :( She took it twice and it was the same! I'm still measuring 4 weeks small (my fundus is 33 cm instead of 37). So the dr. was going to do an ultrasound but somehow they forgot about me, so I sat in my room for about 30 minutes. Nurse lady came back in and my BP was 126/92. At least it went down FINALLY. They decided I was good to go and they'd see me next week (this coming thursday!) I bet my BP is going to be high AGAIN. Maybe baby will come before then. Who knows.

The funnest part about that appointment is when the dr. had me lay down to take the baby's heartrate, I was having a Braxton Hicks contraction! I didn't know that's what they were! Anyway, I had them all day then... all the way through SFC (timing them too and they were consistently 2 minutes apart). I felt no pain whatsoever so I knew this couldn't be the real thing. I was concerned that it would lead to the real thing though. Adam is currently in Mammoth Lakes, CA (4.5 hrs from LAX) so it would be incredibly hard for him to get here if I was going to have the baby. That night we talked on the phone and decided if I were to go into labor, he would not rush home, he was supposed to be home Monday. I called my Dr.'s office on Friday and asked if I should be working still? They said as long as I can walk, talk and laugh through the contractions, there was no need to worry. They also said to keep working, it will help speed things along (from walking!). I said, I don't want to go into labor before MONDAY! :) So tomorrow is Monday and still--no labor! Yahoo! The nurse I spoke with said these BH contractions could continue before labor for a day, a weekend, a week, who knows! It's hard to say... each woman is different! I'm just excited SOMETHING is happening because so far I hadn't felt a thing!!!! The baby is still as active as ever... causing me all sorts of grief (which I love).

Adam comes home tomorrow! From what I hear, his trip has been just awesome. He's really enjoying his time at The Station camp right now. He's been teaching some youngin's new tricks and what not. He's going to be a good daddy!!! He's SUPER excited to rock the baby to sleep!!!!! :) Can't wait to see Adam and our babe.

Less than 8 weeks to go!

I can't believe it's getting so close!!! We are so very very very excited. We've agreed on a boy's name... first and middle. Doesn't really matter though, I'm convinced it's a girl. Whomever you are in my belly, you've got hiccups like crazy as I type this. Such a weird sensation!

We had a dr. apt last wednesday and the doctor had measured me at 26 weeks instead of 32. Weird seeing as how 4 weeks before that I measured 28 weeks (at 28 actual weeks!) Well whatever... he took me in for an ultrasound to make sure the baby was growing right. Sure is! The stomach measured 32 weeks, the head 33 weeks and the femur 29 weeks. He measured 1 more thing but I can't remember what it was. Maybe the chest? Either way, baby measured right on target, 32 weeks! I have another dr.s apt February 28th (36 weeks) then I go back weekly I believe.

Adam will be out of town March 1-15th... so we're praying this baby doesn't come early! I'm trying to take it easy at work... though it's hard since my work is very physical at times. Most of the people I work with stop me before I do something I'll regret!

We've got just about everything we need except bath supplies. I have a shower in Minnesota this Saturday! I'm so excited. I get to go to my friend's baby shower too which is on Sunday! She's due a few weeks after I am!

can't wait to see my baby's face!

28 weeks along

I can't believe I could deliver in 8 weeks. I remember when I was 8 weeks pregnant. Wow. Time is flying by. I am starting to train my replacement at work for my LOA. I'm pretty excited to have off work for so long. I'm taking 8 weeks (to start with) but may move on to 12 if I feel it's necessary. I can't wait to hang out at home with the baby and my husband. Jess Wang will be here too, I'm SOOOO looking forward to that!

Going to MN in a month for my baby shower. Wow. Time is sure flying, I can't believe it!!!!

Sewing lots and lots lately. I got a serger. I love it.

Whoops, forgot to update!!!

It's been far too long since I've updated, sorry folks! So here's what's happened since last time:

On November 26th (Black Friday) I was at work and was told Adam was in the store to see me. He was sent to the back of the store where I was. I started talking to him and then all of a sudden my MOM walks up to me!!!!!! She was filming the whole thing... take a peek!!! (Link is at the bottom of this post)

Awesome!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Adam had filled the xterra up with gas the night before, I thought that was odd but VERY nice. Now I know! He filled it so that he could pick it up at Target the next morning and go straight to the airport! SO sneaky!!!

As if that weren't enough of a surprise!!! MY SISTER came the next day (my birthday!!!!!) I couldn't believe it! I didn't have quite the reaction as I did with my mom (I think because seriously I was still in shock from the surprise of my mom the day before, I couldn't even talk!! I was SPEECHLESS!!!!) Oh we had a wonderful time together!!! I had a blast!! THANK YOU TO MY WONDERFUL FAMILY FOR GIVING ME THE BIGGEST SURPRISE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!
Sorry it cut me out, but you know what I look like, no worries! :)

Christmas was wonderful, Adam and I had a great time. On Christmas Eve we went to Josh & Val Stock's house to fondue (Adam's family tradition) and on Christmas day we saw Little Fockers (my family's tradition). It was fun! Earlier that day we went to the Stock's again for Breakfast and played their Wii for a bit! :)

We bought a crib!!! It's up and ready to be used! We love it, it's absolutely perfect.

Both Adam and I are getting super excited for this little one to come! I can't believe 3 more months and my life will forever be changed!!! I keep asking Adam if he's nervous and he's not. I am!!!! But in a good way. I just can't wait to see hear if it's a boy or a girl! I'm not judging anyone who finds out what they're having but honestly I couldn't ever imagine KNOWING what I am having. The anticipation and surprise is just so dang worth it (I think). Each woman is differently and I know there's good reasons to find out but that's not for me!

We have the girl name picked out 100% (first and middle). We were 100% settled on a boy name and now we've come up with something else we don't know what we're going to choose. We had better pick soon, I don't want to be confused in the hospital!

This baby kicks/moves SO much! I finally felt the first "rollover" last week. It was SO crazy. I can't even explain what it feels like! About a month ago, I was pressing on my stomach while laying on my back and I felt something hard... it was the baby. It totally freaked me out! I pulled my hand away quickly like "WHAT WAS THAT?" Now I love when I can feel it, like the head, butt, back, feet, whatever it is... I love to feel the little one's body like that. I've tried to show Adam a couple of times but he couldn't tell the difference.... until last night. There was a head sticking out the side of my stomach!!! (I guess it could've been the butt, I don't really know! Sure felt like a head though!)

We have alllllllll the gDiapers we need! We are so blessed to have found everything for 219.00 instead of 500! We're set for LIFE on diapers. We are making our own inserts thanks to my new SERGER :) We won't need anything else for all the kids we have. I am so excited. I found an excellent website where a lady gives very very detailed tips on using her changing station in the most productive way. I love that site!

We're considering adopting another dog..... I'll leave it at that. :)

Going to XGAMES at the end of the month! I can't wait! We've got a hotel for 2 nights in Glenwood Springs. We'll have quite a drive but well worth it! :)

I think that's all. I'll update again soon! Here's me at 27w2d!

20 week anatomy scan

We had our 20 week ultrasound last Friday! I was SO nervous that the technician would tell us what we were having, or someone would slip up and the surprise would be blown! When we walked in she said "Are we finding out what we're having today?" I said "No, and I'm terrified I'm going to accidentally find out!" She said they do a good job about keeping it a secret!

We got to see everything on the baby (except the butt, ha!). She checked every organ basically and every bone that was forming! Little one was down way too low when I got there, the tech scolded me for wearing pants that were too tight! I didn't know that had an effect on him/her! WHOOPS! It was so amazing seeing him/her move around and feel it at the same time. We are definitely blessed!

Here's some pics. This one is BLURRY because he/he moved right when it was being taken, the baby doesn't look like that.... but look at the hands and arms! Such detail!!

This is a profile picture while the baby is laying on it's side... head is on the right looking up.

This is a picture of the heart (don't know where haha) and the heartbeat. 145bpm

Again, a blurry one (because it moved) but you can see the ears and such! :)

Another profile pic, but this time the baby has it's arms/hands by it's face. The left hand is curled at the wrist and is right by it's chin. You can see the arm bone and follow it to the face!

Another 3d one, kind of blurry, but way cute!

MY FAVORITE. It's a picture of the baby's FACE looking right at you. Placenta is on the left, but it's right there in the middle!!!

And last, me at 20w4d

Thump Thump Thump!!!!

Guess who started kicking? Yep, the baby! October 20th I felt the first kick! Adam got to feel it for the first time on 10/31. So exciting!!! It's such a weird feeling, for sure. Unmistakable definitely! thumpity thump thump thump! I love it!!!

Today I'm 19 weeks. Next Thursday we get to see him/her again!!! It will have been 12 weeks then since I've seen Lo-Lo! I'm excited to see the face, arms, legs and HOPEFULLY nothing that will spoil the surprise!

Keystone opens today. That's all I can say about that.

Bye.

Oh the things I’ve done!

Well, I'm just about 18 weeks now... I can't believe how fast this is going (I think I said that before).  We're still set on not finding out what the gender is, but because it's quickly approaching, I've been having dreams that I've accidentally found out.  In every dream it's been a girl, which makes me think it's a boy because, let's face it, I'm always wrong.  I'll post pics on here from time to time, but they're up for public viewing on facebook... so check them out here.

We do have a full name for a girl picked out if it's a girl and only the first name for the boy. We can't think of a middle name for the boy so we may switch to our another name. I'm sorry but these are surprises too! For those of you that know me from years ago, I can tell you the girl is NOT Grace and the boy is NOT Boe. (Those were names I wanted years ago). Kristie, I thought you'd be happy! :) :) :)

Adam and I took a trip to Arizona this past weekend! We were gone from Thursday-Tuesday. We had a great time visiting my grandparents!!! We went to the Grand Canyon (by TRAIN!!!) and then just hung out at their place north of Phoenix. It was a great time! I found gDiapers for very cheap while I was down there! A woman sold me 12 Medium gDiapers for 100 bucks! Great deal cause they're 17.99 a piece brand new!!! I also got a bunch of the biodegradable/flush-able liners for free with that purchase... which we won't use too much. I also bought 6 smalls from a lady in my due date club on a forum I'm following... for 50 bucks! Again, 17.99 brand new! Great deals! I am going to be making all the cloth liners myself. I found out the measurements and the materials they're made of. I can make all the ones I'd need for 1/6th of the cost to buy them. Why not!??!! Now, for the newborn size, I think we're gunna do old school cloth diapers--with the folds and pins! We figured it won't be in that size for too long and it does such little amounts at a time (hopefully) that it won't be a big deal. Hope I'm not wrong. I'm 100% committed to sticking to cloth diapers, I will not give up!!! I can do it!!!! :)

Mr. Planner (Adam) and Mrs. Okay Let's Plan (me) have set up a budget for the next 5 months until Lo arrives. (I picked out that for a nickname, because I've caught myself calling the baby "she" and I think that's weird... lo=little one). We've got it all figured out so we'll have all the money saved to compensate my pay when I'm on my maternity leave. I get 6 weeks paid off, but only 70% of my pay.... so we need to save 30% of 6 weeks in order to make it! I love that I married a planner like that. He's very good with money, in fact, sometimes too good. Sometimes he really gets on my nerves when he's always talking about how much money we have and what we can/cannot spend extra on etc. But I love him because of that. Adam if you're actually reading this, thank you for always being such a worry-wart.

OH the baby kicks now. Feels so weird. It started last Tuesday (I think?) I can feel it on my skin but Adam still can't... it's hard to get the timing just right so he can feel it.

We got a TON of snow. Keystone got over 2 feet, we got 15 inches or so in Summit!!! It was fun coming from desert to winter :)

It's our 4th Wedding Anniversary today!!! How are we celebrating? UMMMM hanging out at home. We're not sure if we're going to do anything tonight. We're pretty beat! We might celebrate tomorrow or Friday night. Adam got to go snowboarding today for the first time of the season while I stayed home and did a crap-ton of laundry!!!

I think that's it for now, I'll be sure to update soon!!!

13 weeks!

So here are 2 new pictures... taken at 13w2d!  Almost completely out of pants that fit! YIKES!  Time to go to Denver!  Getting excited, can't wait to feel the little thing kick in a few weeks!  Oh great news!!! Found out my friend Lindsey is due 4 days after I am! I'm very excited, this is her 2nd pregnancy! And my friend from Minnesota is due April 23rd!! This is so exciting!

Adam and I are going to Arizona in a few weeks to see my grandparents, we're very much looking forward to it.  I don't get any time off from Nov 1st-Jan 7th so I'm looking forward to some time away before I don't get any time off!

Adam got his season pass, :'(  I went with so that I would at least feel a part of the season SOMEHOW.  Praying I don't end up having a c-section because if I don't I'll be able to ride just a bit next spring.  We're planning on buying a season pass for me which will be good until the first week of June or so.

I think that's all, not much else going on... same old stuff!

amazed…

I'm just so amazed at how fast the kiddo is growing!  Tomorrow marks 12 weeks, 28 to go!  The baby is the size of a lime.  So crazy.  We got to hear the heartbeat again today, it was beating SO fast.  160!  That's insanely fast considering my heart rate is like 60!!!!  I just can't believe how amazing that is!!!!

Thank you God, again, for the miracle we have :)
