Adam & Julie Stromwall Our Lives

We're so incredibly happy to announce our wonderful news!!! Adam and I are having a baby!!!!  I don't even have a proper pregnancy journal yet, so I'll have to blog for now.  I know what I want, I just can't find one!  So here goes:

In February of this year Adam and I discussed when we'd be "ready".  I was slightly upset that he got to go on 2 trips across the country to go snowboarding while I stayed home and worked.  I told him I  don't mind working for us as long as I feel like I'm working FOR something special... like a family.  I felt as though I was working to provide him freedom to do whatever he wants--which I don't mind--but I wasn't getting anything in return!  I don't think I was really pressuring him, but I did make it clear to our friend Floyd (who is a dad himself) to plant in Adam's head that it's OKAY. :) Soooo after he got back we talked and we thought it'd be a good thing!

Fast forward to June.... totally thought I was pregnant!   I was completely devastated when I found out I wasn't.... which happened to be Emily's wedding day!  Oh well, we made it a happy day anyway!

I found out I was pregnant at work actually.  I had  a test in my purse and I guess I just wanted to check (why? I don't know) early.  Totally thought it'd be negative since I had seen a lot of negatives in the prior months, but a line came up INSTANTLY.  Took another test that afternoon... positive.  Even took one 2 days later... still positive!

So here we are, having a kid, due April 1st! My first doctors appointment is August 19th.  I chose a doctor suggested by my insurance company, though I may want to look for a midwife instead.  I just don't know who is more expensive.  No homebirth for us!  Gross!!!!

And if you're reading, and you're curious, we will not be finding out the sex of the baby.  I feel that is the only TRUE surprise in life--unless the stupid doctor/midwife accidentally tells us, we will have no way of knowing.    What a great surprise.

Per the request of my wonderful friends and family, I will be going to Minnesota sometime for a baby shower.

That's all I know so far.  I'm nervous, excited and verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry hungry.

Love you all, thank you for the congratulations!!!!
